West Mercia Police are appealing for information following a number of thefts at farms and rural small holdings in Herefordshire and South Worcestershire over recent weeks.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“We have received reports that a Ford Transit connect van in red has been used in several theft incidents from farms and rural small holdings in South Worcestershire and Herefordshire, during February.
“The vehicle has a roof rack on top and looks similar to the attached image (sample – not suspect vehicle). Please ensure that you mark your property, do not leave it unsecured in compounds or worksites making it easy for opportunist thieves.
“Please be alert for any suspicious vehicles and report them to police.
“If you think a crime has been committed then contact us by reporting a crime online.
If a crime is happening or someone is in danger, call 999. If you’re deaf or hard of hearing, use our textphone service 18000 or text us on 999 if you’ve pre-registered with the emergencySMS service.
“We’d rather you contacted us and we investigate, than not hear from you.
“You can also report crime anonymously to Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111.
“If you found this information useful, please consider sharing it with anyone you think will benefit from it via social media or your own community groups.”
