Robbery/Theft – Roman Road Hereford.
An elderly couple, ages 83 & 89 were victims of a distraction burglary in Hereford on either Wednesday 17th or Thursday 18th July.
A man knocked on their door and told them that there were gas and electric problems in the area and got a man who he claimed to be his manager to ask the couple to step outside so they could show them where they need to dig.
The couple were very trusting and their home is just in front of new Bloor Homes development so they thought it was a genuine issue.
It’s now been noticed that cash, sentimental jewellery and bank statements are missing.
Police have been notified and the bank contacted. The family are appealing for anyone who knows anything or has CCTV in the Roman Road area to contact police using reference 370S 20.07.19
