High praise for Kingsland CE Primary School after recent Ofsted inspection
In a recent report from Ofsted, a Church of England Primary School has been described as a place where pupils flourish, and where leaders care deeply about pupils
An inspection of Kingsland CE Primary School took place over two days in mid-January.
The Ofsted inspection rated the school as ‘Good’ overall with ‘Outstanding’ ratings for Behaviour and Attitudes and Personal Development.
The report states:
“Pupils work hard, treat others with respect and broaden their skills and talents through the many opportunities offered.
All pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those who are disadvantaged, achieve at a high level in reading, writing and mathematics.
Pupils’ conduct around school and their attitudes to learning are excellent.
Leaders are committed to offering a rich and diverse education beyond the classroom.
Leaders have thought carefully about how to ensure that the curriculum meets the needs of pupils in mixed-aged classes.”
Headteacher, Mr Stewart Debenham, said “We are delighted that the inspectors recognised the high levels of academic achievement and inclusivity within the school, as well as how well the children flourish socially and emotionally.”
A parent stated, “There is magic in the air at Kingsland”, and Mrs Helen Webb, Chair of Governors, said, “This is an excellent Ofsted report which recognises what a fantastic school Kingsland is, and the hard work that staff give on a daily basis.”
The school is committed to providing a ‘rich and vibrant curriculum’ for all its children and will continue to pursue its vision of ‘Let your light shine’.
