Do you remember the HENRYKA Jewellery Store in Hereford?

Even though they closed their store back in 2019, this Hereford based business has grown from strength to strength!

Your Herefordshire caught up with Anna and Hollie to find out a little bit more about the company and how it’s changed and developed since moving from the High Street in Hereford to an online business.

Q) Henryka left the High Street just before the pandemic hit. Have you kept hold of many of your loyal customers now you are solely online?

A) “Yes, definitely! A lot of local people remained our loyal customers and have continued to shop on our website since the shop closure in 2019. We’ve been working hard to grow our online presence but also our retail stockists. We have currently two great outlets in Herefordshire which are at the Oxenham Art Gallery in Leominster, and at the Hop Pocket Shopping Village in Bishops Frome. But at the same time, we received frequent feedback that many of our local customers thought that we’d ceased trading. Therefore, we would like to let our customers know that Henryka is thriving and growing.

Q) What makes Henryka different to other similar businesses?

A) “I believe that the unusual and rare natural gemstones (truly one-off pieces) and unique nature inspired designs sets us apart from other jewellery brands. We design and handcraft all our jewellery. Our collections are a celebration of completely natural and rare gemstones from all around of the world (some gemstones you may have never even heard of). Instead of seeking perfection, we choose gemstones based on the natural quirks and inclusions that make them entirely unique. We also pride ourselves on our excellent customer service where we will always go above and beyond to help. In return for loyalty, we reward our customers with a £20 birthday voucher to spend on their special day every year.”

Q) Tell us the story behind Henryka and your plans for the future?

A) “It all began in 2006 when I decided to channel my lifelong passion for Baltic amber and my love of nature into jewellery that could be worn and loved by all. For the past decade we have grown our jewellery range to include more unusual gemstones such as Malachite, Larimar, Peridot, Rose Quartz and many more. Today, we continue to thrive and build on our existing collections including launching our brand-new Gold Collection which a combination of our favourite sterling silver pieces with 24ct Gold plating.”

Q) Where is the most obscure place in the world that you’ve ever sold to?

A) “Having a prominent website and selling on other channels like Etsy and Amazon we are lucky to sell our jewellery to all corners of the world. We get a great response from the USA and Australia who love our British nature themed designs. I would say the most rememberable destination we’ve shipped an order is to Brunei which is a small nation on the island of Borneo. The customer in question purchased our Common Blue Lace Agate Butterfly which they adored.”

Q) Is Herefordshire still the hub of your business?

A) “Yes definitely, Herefordshire is still a hub of our business. We don’t have a retail premises any longer, but instead have a little business unit where all the magic happens!”

Q) What products do you specialise in?

A) “Our main focus is creating beautiful sterling silver jewellery and combining it with unique natural gemstones. Our extensive range captures the beauty of nature and important symbols that hold meaning. We make jewellery for people who want to treasure all life’s special memories so that they are never forgotten.”

Q) Do you have any plans for new products?

A) “We’re constantly expanding our collections which is mainly driven by delivering what our customers are asking for. So, if anyone has a design idea, please do get in touch!”
