Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service have this morning provided an update after a vehicle collided with a derelict building in Herefordshire overnight.
The incident occurred on the A438 between Trumpet and Ledbury, with the road remaining closed this morning while emergency services search for a fourth possible casualty.
In an update shared with Your Herefordshire, a spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said:
“Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Ledbury and Fownhope Fire Stations were called at 01:58 on 7 November to an RTC on the A438 outside Ledbury.
“These crews were supported by a crew from Hereford Fire Station which supplied additional lighting.
“The incident involved a vehicle which had been in collision with a derelict building. One casualty had been ejected from the vehicle while two others were walking wounded.
“All were handed over to the care of the ambulance service who attended along with police.
“Fire service personnel also assisted police, using a thermal imaging camera and the Service drone, in a search for a potential fourth casualty.
“The road was closed in both directions.
“From a fire service perspective, the incident was marked as pending closure at 06:05.”
