8-year-old Archie Loveridge is continuing to surprise people in the karting world after being crowned Total Karting Zero Northern Champion with a 23 point lead.
After being crowned the Bambino Champion in the Total Karting Zero Winter Championship, Archie made the move up to cadets in May where he would be racing faster karts and more experienced racers.
The age bracket for that category is 8-12-years-old. With Archie aged just 8-years-old and one of the youngest competitors everyone was expecting him to build himself up and get some experience before running with the top competitors who are aged around 11 and 12-years-old.
It was a six round championship and Archie managed a 1st place finish in his first ever race. What an achievement!
Archie then continued with another 1st place finish before two 2nd place finishes. He then rounded up the championship with two 1st place finishes. Archie was then crowned 2022 Total Karting Zero Northern Champion with a 23 point lead.
Total Karting Zero ran two championships, a Northern & Southern (Archie competed in the North). Archie has now been invited to take part in a National Final where the highest scoring drivers from the North & South Championships will compete for the title of 2022 National Champion.
This event takes place on the 22nd/23rd October at Rye House Kart Raceway.
Good luck Archie!
