HSL Compliance have recently sponsored the Hereford Pegasus Under 15’s side and have decided to put the logo of a charity on the teams shirts, rather than their own.
A spokesperson for HSL Compliance said:
“HSL Compliance were honoured to be asked to sponsor this season’s kit for the Hereford Pegasus U15 team. While it is always great to see our logo on a local football kit, this time we decided to do something different which would hold much more sentimental value to the players and the community as a whole. With the kind permission of Ed and Emma Cleal, we have chosen to use the #BeMoreFrank logo instead of our own.
“#BeMoreFrank is a fund set up in honour of Ed and Emma’s son Frank, who tragically passed away in June 2021 aged 13 from a rare bone cancer – osteosarcoma. Frank was a huge football fan so it seemed an ideal way to raise awareness of the #BeMoreFrank fund, which provides grants to families with a child diagnosed with cancer in Herefordshire and Powys. “At the time of approving the proof for the new kit, the U15 team suffered a devastating loss with the heartbreaking passing of their team mate, Kacper Biela.
“Kacper had been on holiday in Skegness last month when he got into difficulty at sea.
“It was therefore decided by the club to also include a tribute to Kacper on the kit – his initials and number KB6.
“The new kit, which now features tributes to two amazing and dearly missed Herefordshire boys – Frank and Kacper, was unveiled for the first time at Kacper’s memorial game, held on Sunday 4th September. Donations on entry were made to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) who were involved in the search for Kacper. Anyone wishing to donate towards the RNLI can do so via their website https://rnli.org/.
“We would like to wish the U15’s the best of luck as they begin their first league match this weekend and look forward to following their progress throughout the season.”
