A man who was spotted by a member of the public when having a poo in public has responded to Facebook criticism on a local messageboard.
The following post was shared on the Ross Noticeboard earlier this week:
“To the lovely drunk gentleman who came across the wooden bridge by Rope Walk / Homs car park who grabbed hold of the lamp post and proceeded to drop their trousers and decided to have a bowel movement, pulled their trousers up and walk away, I did shout but was ignored.
“We would really appreciate it if you would come back and clean it up.
“You must know who you are, your underwear must be filthy.”
However, a member of the public responded, claiming it was them and that there was a more serious reason behind his actions. He said:
“Happy to admit that this was me. I have IBS, a bowel condition which causes me too often need to urgently defecate. Instead of publicly shaming me for this very embarrassing incident, maybe educate yourself on the condition as it is something which effects millions of people in the UK. Shame on you!”
