Fire crews from across Herefordshire and Worcestershire are in attendance at a large fire in Great Witley this afternoon.
Residents have been advised by the fire service to keep windows and doors closed and surrounding roads have been temporarily closed to allow fire crews to limit the spread.
Fortunately the quick actions of fire crews have prevented the fire from spreading.
Chief Fire Officer for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service Jon Pryce said:
“Driving through Great Witley, Worcs today I ended up being first on scene at what became an 8 pump fire, fuel station, houses all at risk (but saved). I did very little, but superb work by all HW Fire crews.”
More soon.
