From Gloucestershire Constabulary:
We’re appealing for people to come forward after a member of the public called to say they believed they had seen a man being put into a car earlier this morning (Wednesday 10 August).
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in Blakeney on the A48 close to the Manchester House Bed and Breakfast at around 9.15am.
It comes after a report from a passing motorist who thinks they saw a man and a woman putting a man in a t-shirt into the boot of a dark coloured car. The car is believed to be a five-door hatchback.
Urgent enquiries have been ongoing this morning and, as the man has not yet been identified or found, detectives are now appealing to the public to try and establish what was taking place.
We are particularly keen to speak to the drivers of a white van and a white car which were believed to have also been passing at the time.
Officers are also keen to hear from any other motorists who were travelling through Blakeney on the A48 this morning.
