From West Mercia Police:
A man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon following an incident in Kington, Herefordshire on Friday (22 July).
The incident happened in the Nisa store in High Street where a woman was assaulted with a hammer.
Alexander Stone, 37, of Bridge Street, Kington was arrested on Friday and charged today (Saturday 23 June).
He is remanded in custody to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday (25 July).
