A Herefordshire school has told parents that they can collect their children at 1pm this afternoon, due to extreme heat.
Ashfield Park Primary School in Ross-on-Wye said:
“Due to the build up of heat in the school building over night and the continued heatwave forecast for today, you will be able to collect your child(ren) at 1pm if you so wish.
“Pick up will be from the normal pick up points as at the end of a normal school day.
“Please be reassured that while your children are in the care of the school they will be kept safe.
“Apologies for the very short notice.”
