West Mercia Police is investigating reports of a suspicious man being spotted in a Herefordshire village at the same time that a theft occurred at a property.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
At approximately 12 o’clock on Monday 2nd May a theft occurred at a property situated close to the church in Canon Pyon.
Person(s) unknown have stolen a Kola 9.5hp petrol engine that belonged to a bandsaw. It is worth approximately £1000.
A male was seen in the area at the time of the theft and is described as approximatley 40 years old, 5 FT 7, brown hair and of slim build.
