A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital in Bristol following a serious collision in Herefordshire on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to the A465 (Hereford to Abergavenny Road) near Locks Garage on Sunday afternoon. West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service, Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and the Air Ambulance all attended the incident.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service told Your Herefordshire:

“We were called to reports of a collision between a motorbike and a car on the A465 at 3.35pm yesterday.

“Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a BASICS doctor and the Welsh Air Ambulance attended the scene.

“On arrival we discovered a male patient, the motorcyclist, who was in a serious condition. He received specialist trauma care at the scene before being airlifted to Southmead Hospital for further treatment.”
