Customers have today shared their frustration after discovering that the Boots store and pharmacy in Hereford was closed, with a notice on the door saying that the store will remain closed until further notice. At present it is unclear if the store and pharmacy will open as normal tomorrow.
Many people responded to an update on the Your Herefordshire page earlier this afternoon to share their frustration, with one person being told that the store couldn’t open due to a pharmacist being unavailable. (Please note that Your Herefordshire is unable at present to confirm whether this is the case).
One person who commented on the Your Herefordshire update on Facebook said:
“This happens a lot in Ludlow. Can’t understand if no pharmacist! He / she does not need to give approval of selling any thing other than drugs. They must lose so much money.”
Members of the public are advised to visit another local pharmacy, with Chave and Jackson and Tesco in Bewell Street the closest alternatives.
Alternatively if your request is urgent you can contact the store on 01432 274941 or call NHS 111.
Boots has apologised for any inconvenience caused but hasn’t confirmed the reasoning behind the closure.
