Boots Opticians in Hereford has re-opened after a twelve day re-fit.
Branch Manager Andrew Lawes told Your Herefordshire:
“We closed on Friday 4th March so we could have a total re-fit, it wouldn’t have been practical to have stayed open whilst the store was undergoing renovation.”
Andrew continued:
“Hereford has a backlog of eye tests and the Covid situation made things a lot worse, so we have added a new testing room for our customers, we’ve had plenty of new investment in the store and have a lot of new brands.”
The store re-opened at 10am this morning and long standing employee Dawn Raczkowski cut the ribbon. Dawn has been working for Boots for 48 years. She told us, “I started at Boots when I was 17, I’ve always worked in Herefordshire including eight years at the branch in Ross On Wye.”
To celebrate the occasion confetti cannons were fired and Dawn cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the new store.
