A planning application has been submitted to create a cycle circuit in Hereford, with £1.4 million raised to go towards the project.
The ‘New Cycle Circuit for Herefordshire’ Facebook page shared the following update this morning.
“Thank you to everyone who attended our meeting last Friday. Your feedback and continued support is gratefully received.
“We have some exciting news – we have now raised just over £1,400,000 towards the project and would like to say a huge thank you to our funding partners: Hereford City Council, Herefordshire Council, Sport England & British Cycling and Stronger Hereford.
“We have now submitted the required planning application and are starting to engage with supply chains to scope the build phase of the project. Check back for more updates.”
The cycle circuit, if approved, will be located at Hereford Racecourse.
