A woman who died in a collision on Friday has been described by her family as a “larger than life character who lit up the room wherever she went”.
The family of Terri-Ann Marshall, aged 36 and a mother-of-two, has paid tribute to her after she passed away in a collision on the B4228 near Sling in the Forest of Dean.
Her family said: “It is with great sadness that we announce our beautiful daughter Terri-Ann was tragically taken from us on Friday 28 January 2022.
“Terri was a devoted mum to her two beautiful girls, a cherished daughter of Helen and Ian, much loved sister to Lou and Kate, and loving partner of Will.
“Anyone who knew Terri knows that she was a larger than life character who lit up the room wherever she went. She was the life and soul of the party.
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out with messages of condolences and support. We are absolutely heartbroken.”
Arrests made in connection with fatal collision in the Forest of Dean
Three people have been arrested in connection with a fatal collision on the B4228 in the Forest of Dean yesterday, Friday 28 January.
The collision involved a blue Ford Fiesta and a red Mini at around 5.15pm. The incident happened between the villages of Sling and St Braivels, near to the Orepool Inn.
Emergency services attended and the driver of the Mini, a local woman aged in her 30s, died at the scene. Her family is being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the Fiesta remains in hospital after he sustained serious injuries.
Earlier today, Saturday 29 January, three people were arrested in connection with the incident.
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and one of them has also been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
A third person attended a police station this evening and was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. They all remain in police custody.
Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw either the blue Ford Fiesta or a silver Volkswagen Golf driving between Coleford and Sling prior to the collision.
They are also asking for anyone with dashcam footage of either of these vehicles to come forward.

Woman dies in collision near Sling, Forest of Dean
A woman died in a collision on the B4228 near Sling in the Forest of Dean yesterday, Friday 28 January.
Police were called shortly after 5.15pm with a report of a two-vehicle collision which involved a Mini and a Ford Fiesta.
This happened between the villages of Sling and St Braivels, near to The Orepool Inn.
Emergency services attended and the driver of the Mini, a woman aged in her 30s, died at the scene. Her next of kin and the coroner have been informed.
The driver of the Fiesta was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains there today, Saturday 29 January.
A collision investigation is ongoing and any witnesses or anyone who has dashcam footage and has not already spoken to police is asked to make contact.
