West Mercia Police officers have issued an update following reports from a young girl who thought she was being followed by someone in a car.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“We have been made aware of an incident in Oak Road, where a young girl believed she had been followed by someone in a black car.
“Enquires have been made with the registered keeper. At this time we are treating this as a call with good intent. The owner of the vehicle has given an explanation and we can confirm that his explanation and actions are completely innocent and cause us no concern.
“We understand that rumours within the community often spread fast. We would like to reassure you that complaints of this nature are looked into and taken seriously.”
