The South & Mid Wales Cave Rescue Team have rescued a person who suffered a dislocated hip earlier today.
A spokesperson for the South & Mid Wales Cave Rescue Team said:
“Our third call out of the year/month/week – busy times!
“Today we were called out to assist a caver who had suffered a dislocated hip at the entrance to Ogof Clogwyn. After our longest ever stretcher carry last year, this was probably our shortest.
“Fantastic bit of team work, working with Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust before handing over to our colleagues in Longtown Mountain Rescue Team to transport the casualty safely back up the hill.
“South & Mid Wales Cave Rescue Team is a voluntary organisation providing assistance to people and animals in need underground. The Team relies on the donations from members of the public to fund our essential life-saving rescue service.”
