Thanks to the incredible work of local health officials and hundreds of volunteers, a total of 404,428 of 554,744 eligible adults in Herefordshire and Worcestershire have now received their COVID-19 booster dose, meaning that the two counties sit in a strong position should the Omicron wave affect the county.
Pop up events have taken place across Herefordshire and Worcestershire over the weekend, with walk in centres in Hereford city centre helping to make it easier for those that struggle to attend weekday appointments. The 24 hour vaccine clinic at Artrix in Bromsgrove has also significantly helped to deliver the booster campaign.
The figure of 72.9% is well above the national average which is just below 60% of all adults.
Walk-in booster clinics will continue to take place in Herefordshire over the coming week and we’ll update the details daily over on our Facebook page.
