Storm Barra is continuing to cause disruption in the United Kingdom and Ireland with severe gales and heavy rain leading to travel chaos.
The Republic of Ireland as well as Scotland have been worst affected, with 80mph reported and several roads flooded. Blizzard like conditions have also affected high ground in Scotland and parts of Northern England.
Up to 60,000 properties are reported to be without power. Despite some heavy rain and windy weather, Herefordshire has so far avoided the worst of the conditions but the windy weather is set to continue as we head into the evening.
Some debris and branches have fallen from trees and there have been reports of difficult driving conditions due to surface water flooding in some parts, such as Holme Lacy Road in Hereford.
