Children at hospital in Hereford this Christmas will have new toys to play with, thanks to a £1,150 donation from Your Herefordshire and the Hereford Community Recycling and Reuse Group.
On 29th September, Stefan and Matt from Your Herefordshire were joined by Andrew from the Hereford Community Recycling and Reuse Group at Hereford County Hospital, where a cheque was handed over to Wye Valley NHS Trust.
In previous years, people have been able to donate used toys to the children’s ward, but due to COVID-19, there are a number of restrictions on what can be donated to the hospital. The money raised will be spent to provide children on the children’s ward with toys to help keep them positive and upbeat during what can be a difficult time of year to be in hospital.
The funds were raised after Andrew contacted Stefan to ask for support in raising funds. With the community being at the heart of what we do at Your Herefordshire, we were obviously delighted to be able to support Andrew and the Just Giving page quickly raised the required funds thanks to the amazing support of the people of Herefordshire.
