Roll up, roll up! Harvey Road Haunted House, Hereford, is supporting Stan Wilkes of Fownhope, a terminally ill 9-year old with a degenerative brain disease.
Entertain yourselves and support Stan by visiting the Halloween spooky spectacle at Harvey Road, HR1 1XB.
Every year Luke and Laura Jordan decorate their house in support of a local charity.
“This year we are collecting for Stan,” said Luke Jordan “He’s a 9 year old boy from Hereford diagnosed with a rare genetic brain disease called ALD (Adrenoleukodystrophy). Sadly, it’s terminal”.
Laura Jordan added: “All money raised will go to Stan and his family for non-standard treatment, travel expenses, bills and to make Stan’s remaining time as special and as fun as possible”.

Kath Wilkes, Stan’s mum said: “Stan is the happiest, most gorgeous little boy. Your donations are contributing to alleviate financial pressure on our family, the daily tasks of providing Stan with the best care, specialist and play equipment he so desperately needs and deserves. Stan’s family is trying to make memories while they still can and hope to use some of the donations for a trip to Yorkshire in November. This gives them something to look forward to after a summer attending many appointments while battling viruses and deteriorating physical functions. Stan hasn’t been able to leave home as much as his family hoped.
Stan was diagnosed this year with a rare genetic brain disease called ALD (Adrenoleukodystrophy). It affects the adrenal glands and ‘white matter’ of the brain, causing a progressive loss of physical and mental skills. Sadly there is no effective treatment to reverse the damaging process which makes it a terminal illness.
