This Christmas audiences will have the climb of their life at The Courtyard’s giant pantomime performance of Jack and the Beanstalk.
Jack and his mum are down on their luck and when Jack reluctantly sells his beloved cow, all he gets in return is a measly bag of beans. When a huge beanstalk appears in the garden, Jack realises that they were no ordinary beans and an extraordinary adventure is about to begin.
Join The Courtyard on this magical journey filled with adventure, magic beans and catchy musical numbers. Featuring several Courtyard favourites, including Emily Connor (Jill), Madeline McMahon (Detective Constable Fairy), and Ellis Kerkhoven (this year’s villain) and welcoming back the production dream team Estelle van Warmelo and Lyndsay Maples as director and writer.
As part of The Courtyard’s commitment to accessibility and inclusivity there will be a Relaxed Performance, suitable for individuals with autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties or sensory and communication difficulties, on Monday 3 January at 10.30am. There will also be a Dementia Friendly performance on Tuesday 4 January at 2pm (doors will open from 1pm).
The Courtyard Audio Description Association (CADA) will be audio describing a performance on Saturday 11 December at 2pm and a British Sign Language signed performance will take place on Sunday 12 December at 6.30pm.
With a heavy Hereford slant, local audiences can expect plenty of familiar references and Herefordshire based jokes in The Courtyard’s pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.
