The number of patients with COVID-19 at hospital in Herefordshire (Wye Valley NHS Trust), has risen, according to data released by NHS England.
On 31st August, NHS England recorded that 19 patients had COVID-19 at hospital in Herefordshire, this is up on the 24th August, when 12 patients were recorded as having COVID-19 at Hereford County Hospital. The number of patients requiring ventilation after testing positive for COVID-19 has also risen, with data showing that on the 31st August, two patients required ventilation, with is up from zero the previous week.
Despite the numbers increasing, we are still far below the levels seen in January 2021, when well over 100 patients had COVID-19 at hospital in Herefordshire and the numbers requiring ventilation were in double figures. Another positive is the vaccination programme continues to move along, with 80.1% of adults in Herefordshire now having received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
However, despite the positive news, sadly three further patients that had tested positive for COVID-19 at hospital in Herefordshire (Wye Valley NHS Trust) have sadly died, with two deaths being recorded on the 1st September and one death recorded on the 31st August.
