A woman has suffered a nasty injury after falling over on Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons.
A spokesperson for the Brecon Beacons Mountain Rescue Team said:
“On Wednesday afternoon, the team were called to the Pen y Fan area to assist a lady who had fallen and sustained a nasty eye laceration.
“A hasty party were sent up to assess the lady where one of our team paramedics, who was off duty, treated the lady at the scene. She was confident to walk herself off the mountain with assistance of team members.
“A stretcher was sent up just in case the lady changed her mind, but she managed to get the whole way down. The lady and her husband made their own way to hospital for treatment. Many thanks to Central Beacons MRT for being on standby if we needed assistance. We wish the lady a quick recovery.”
