Fire crews from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called to a lorry crash on the Herefordshire border yesterday.
From Tenbury Fire Station:
“Busy day for the crew today. First we were called to a lorry that had collided with a wall making it unstable and dangerous at Oldwood.
“Crews used a tirfor winch to pull the wall off the lorry and make it safe. Later on we were called to an automatic fire alarm in Clows Top but were stood down en route due to it being confirmed as a false alarm.
“About 10 minutes later we were called again to the same premises for another fire alarm activation. On arrival it became apparent that the call was a result of an error by the alarm receiving company as the site had booked a fire alarm test prior to setting off their alarms.”
