June Thurston has celebrated her final day at Asda by handing over a cheque to a local trampoline centre.
“React Gymnastics & Trampoline Club (React Club CIC) posted on Facebook saying:
“We are super proud to be WINNERS of the ASDA Green Token Foundation Award receiving £500. Thank you to everyone who voted for this amazing local club who are providing much needed passionate and structured coaching to children and now adults in Herefordshire.
“Also, may we all wish June who is the community liaison for ASDA a big farewell as today is her last day before her retirement. Enjoy the peace June!”
Andrew Wood from the Hereford Community Recycling and Reuse Group also had a few words to say:
“June has set the standard for Community Champions in Hereford. She has helped so many groups, schools and organisations and it would be impossible to remember them all. She will be missed greatly but I wish her a wonderful retirement.”
