West Mercia Police have told Your Herefordshire that police are aware of a planned protest in Hereford tomorrow and have spoken to the organisers.
Herefordshire Local Policing Commander, Superintendent Edd Williams, said: “We’re aware of a small planned protest due to take place in Hereford tomorrow afternoon and have liaised with the organisers who have advised they intend to hold a peaceful protest without causing any significant disruption to the wider community.
“We recognise the right to peaceful protest and will look to facilitate this, whilst being mindful of the current Covid-19 restrictions and the impact that COVID-19 continues to have on our day to day activities.”
The protest, organised by Extinction Rebellion Marches, is set to take place near Hereford Cathedral tomorrow.
