From Herefordshire Council: “In the last Census in Herefordshire 512 people identified as a Jedi Knight & 14 people said they believe in Heavy Metal. Its difficult trying to find a photo of these good people but it’s probably looks a bit like this.”
The phenomenon, which first arose during the 2001 Census two decades ago, saw Jedi identified as the seven-largest religion in the United Kingdom in 2011.
However campaigners are warning people not to fill in Jedi as their religion this time round with concerns that it is causing an under-counting of non-religious people in the United Kingdom.
