Mass testing is underway after a number of cases of COVID-19 were confirmed at Luston Primary School and Shobdon Primary School.

Dear Parent (13th March 2021)
Shobdon and Luston Primary Schools Covid-19 situation update and invitation for staff and pupils to get tested
Yesterday, on Friday March 12th a discussion took place with Herefordshire Council Public Health and the Local Public Health England team regarding the current Covid-19 cases across three related settings: Shobon Pre-school; Shobdon Primary School and Luston Nursery and Primary School.
It is acknowledged that the schools have worked extremely hard to put robust measures in place to minimise the risk of coronavirus spreading and there are only a relatively small number of confirmed cases. However, the involvement of three key settings warrants further measures to reduce the risk of transmission.
We are therefore inviting staff and students that have not already tested positive for Covid-19 to attend the school for a screening test. The mass testing is being organised by Herefordshire Council and will take place at Shobdon Primary School on Sunday March 14th and Luston Primary School on Monday March 15th.
We encourage you to take up this offer of testing as it is important to help us to identify and therefore limit any further spread of COVID-19.
