One piece of news to leak prior to the Budget at 12.30pm this afternoon is that the legal limit on contactless payments will more than double to £100.
The United Kingdom is no longer bound by the £45 European Union cap on payments.
It will come into legal effect from today but will take the vast majority of companies several weeks/months to fully implement it.
