Levels on the River Wye in Herefordshire have peaked overnight, with both Hereford and Ross-on-Wye seeing high levels. The Wye peaked at just under 5.1 metres at Hereford, making it the second time in a month that the river has seen a level over 5 metres in the city.
At Ross-on-Wye the Wye has peaked at just under 4.5 metres this morning and it will slowly fall as we go through the day. Further rain has fallen in Wales overnight, but no severe flooding is expected.
Some roads remain closed due to floodwater, particularly those near the River Lugg, south of Leominster. Watery Lane also remains blocked by floodwater in Hereford, but local residents have told us that Holme Lacy Road is now passable due to water levels dropping overnight.
