In recognition of World Cancer Day, local student Millie Davies has taken on a challenge to run a double marathon through February and is looking for sponsors to help raise money for Cancer Research.
“I am going to be running every day through February and should run a total of 58 miles by the end of the month” said Millie.
Cancer Research UK said of Millie’s effort, “Thank you so much for choosing to fundraise for us. We really appreciate all your amazing support and thank you for helping us to beat cancer. I understand that the charity means a lot to you, so thank you once again for thinking of us.”
Millie is using Facebook Donate, as all the money paid in donations goes to Cancer Research.
Cancer affects everyone, and the aim of World Cancer Day is to try to envision a future without cancer. That needs everyone to react now to achieve it.
