The Environment Agency has issued a Flood Alert on the River Lugg – South of Leominster following heavy overnight rain.
From Environment Agency:
River levels remain high but steady at the Lugwardine river gauge following the recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected to continue. We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Lugg south of Leominster from Stoke Prior to Mordiford. Other locations that may be affected include Bodenham, Lugwardine and Hampton Bishop. Further rain is forecast over the next 48 hours, which may cause river levels to rise again. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and roads near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by 5pm on Thursday, 28/01/21, or as the situation changes.
