During the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, Leominster’s COVID-19 infection rate remained relatively low, but over recent weeks and months this has changed, with one part of Leominster now seeing one of the highest COVID-19 infection rates in Herefordshire.

LEOMINSTER SOUTH – Infection rates in this area are the highest in Leominster. In data up until 11th January, this area of Leominster saw an infection rate of 571.8 cases per 100,000 population. This is significantly UP on data up until 28th December when this area of the town had an infection rate of 158.8 cases per 100,000 population.
LEOMINSTER NORTH – Infection rates in this area of Leominster are falling. In data up until 11th January, this area of Leominster saw an infection rate of 212.9 cases per 100,000 population. This is DOWN on data up until 28th December when this area of the town had an infection rate of 245.7 cases per 100,000 population.
SHOBDON, LUSTON & BODENHAM – Infection rates in this area are rising fast. In data up until 11th January, this area saw an infection rate of 436.8 cases per 100,000 population. This is significantly UP on data up until 28th December when this area of the county had an infection rate of 134.4 cases per 100,000 population.
WIGMORE, ORLETON & BRIMFIELD – Infection rates in this area are rising fast. In data up until 11th January, this area of the county saw an infection rate of 402.2 cases per 100,000 population. This is significantly UP on data up until 28th December when this area of the county had an infection rate of 123.8 cases per 100,000 population.
