Sainsbury’s has confirmed this morning that the ban on travel and freight from France is unlikely to cause problems prior to Christmas but that some items could disappear from shelves over the coming days if the situation isn’t resolved quickly.
The supermarket chain said that all its products for Christmas were already in the country but if nothing changes we could start to see issues over the coming days on supplies of lettuce, some salad leaves, cauliflower, broccoli & citrus fruit.
