People can now travel between Wales and tier one and two areas in England, the Welsh Government has said.
Under the rules coming into force from Friday at 6pm people will be able to travel between Wales and Tier 1 and Tier 2 areas of England.
With Herefordshire under Tier 2 COVID-19 restrictions, this means that people from Wales can openly travel to Herefordshire. Prior to the end of the lockdown in England, people living in Wales could only travel across the border for ‘essential’ purposes.
With pubs in Wales unable to serve alcohol and being forced to close at 6pm, it is quite possible that a few may be tempted to hop over the border to enjoy a pint and a meal at a pub or restaurant in Herefordshire.
