Health Secretary Matt Hancock has announced that Herefordshire will be under Tier 2 COVID-19 restrictions when the national lockdown ends on 2nd December.
This is positive news for many in the retail sector, with shops allowed to reopen. It’s not so good news for the hospitality sector however with Tier 2 restrictions meaning that alcohol can only be served with a substantial meal and no indoor mixing of households is allowed.
A maximum of six people from different households can meet outdoors.
Everyone who can work from home should continue to do so and places of worship are allowed to open but no interaction is allowed with anyone outside your household or support bubble.
Sport, live performances and business meetings limited to 50% capacity or 2,000 people outdoors and 1,000 people indoors.
Restrictions on weddings, funerals and civil partnerships remain pretty much as they were before.
