Hereford FC supporters are being invited to join the funeral procession to pay tribute to much loved fan Tom Emmett, who sadly passed away last week.
The Hereford FC Disabled Supporters Group have shared the following post:
After the devastating news of Tom’s passing last week, Hereford FC DSA would like to ask that any of Tom’s friends & any fellow supporters would like to join the funeral procession which will depart outside Edgar Street at 10:45am on Tuesday 10th November, the procession will leave the football ground and turn right onto Blackfriars Street to Edgar Street. From here, Tom will be driven towards The Heart of Oak pub, along Grandstand Road and up Yazor Road towards the Hereford Crematorium…
Due to limited numbers being allowed inside for the service which starts at 11:15am, we are hoping that as many friends & fans can line the roadway at the crematorium (socially distancing of course to ensure everyone can pay their respects safely) to display their banners, flags, scarves & to wear their footy shirts in memory of Tom & to show Tom’s family how much he meant to all of us, his football family…
Tom’s family would like to thank everyone for their kind messages and thoughtful tributes to him… It has been comforting for them to see just how truly loved Tom was by each and every one of you… Tom would be over the moon to see just how much you all adored him…
We now know that Tom peacefully passed away on Wednesday 21st October 2020 at his home, he was not in any pain and suffered in no way…
There will be a live feed of Tom’s funeral ceremony available on the day. At some point, we will provide a website link to follow and a password. We do not have this yet – it will be given out nearer the time…
For Tom’s funeral it is family flowers only… If you wish to make a donation, please donate to the Hereford FC DSA which Tom was a founder of…
