Commuters that use the National Express service between Hereford and London will have to find alternative travel arrangements from Monday with National Express scrapping the Hereford to London route due to a lack of demand.
A spokesperson for Yeomans Travel said:
“We received a call from National Express on Thursday last week saying that they would be cutting the service from Hereford until further notice due to lack of patronage between Hereford and Gloucester.
“A limited service will remain in place between Gloucester and London but this has been scaled back extensively.
“We do not know when they will re-instate the service but in the meantime, we have drivers and coaches that have no work. We have been operating this contract for them for 25 years and this came as a total shock to us. To remove both journeys leaves Hereford with no service at all.”
