Mooney made 20 appearances for The Bulls last season, scoring five times, with the former Aston Villa trainee forming a solid partnership with Lennel John-Lewis in attack during the second half of the season.

The young striker made a move to the Football League during the summer, signing for League 2 Scunthorpe United, but was recently made available for loan: ā€œIā€™ve watched him and seen how heā€™s got on up there, and as soon as I saw he became available, I jumped at the chance to get him back,ā€ said Bulls boss, Josh Gowling.

ā€œKelsey has been training full-time with Scunthorpe, playing against and training with very good players so Iā€™m sure heā€™ll be an even better version of what he was when he was with us last year,ā€ Gowling added.

The Hereford boss admitted that itā€™s been hard to bring in a striker for a number of reasons: ā€œWeā€™ve found it difficult to bring in a striker due to the Covid rules and issues surrounding loaning players. We also want to make sure that we bring in the right character, but Kelsey fits the bill perfectly.

ā€œHe knows the club, he knows the lads, he formed a really good partnership with Lenny last season and we know that heā€™s got a great work ethic. Heā€™s a good finisher and has got a great attitude, so Iā€™m really pleased to be able to bring him in.ā€
