8 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Herefordshire, with 30 new cases of the virus recorded in the past 72 hours.
The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded since the start of the pandemic now stands at 1,058. The government has been keen to stress that the sharp increase in cases across the United Kingdom over recent days is down to an error in reporting.
In the United Kingdom, a further 14,542 cases of the virus have been confirmed, with Scotland expected to announce further restrictions tomorrow and pressure being applied to Prime Minister Boris Johnson to do similar in England.
