The Hereford & District Skittle League are hoping to recommence fixtures in March 2021, following a lengthy delay due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The news will be seen as a blow to the pub trade, as many host skittles teams.
A statement from The Hereford & District Skittle League said:
COVID-19 UPDATE: Committee members have been considering a number of options for the re-start of skittles and a proposal for commencement in January has been rejected due to the uncertainty which still exists.
The latest proposal is a commencement next March to finish the season that was suspended. We obviously realise that at this stage there are a number of players who may not wish to play again and as a result a number of teams who may be unable to raise enough members to form a team.
We plan to hold a Committee meeting in the near future to discuss the matter further and if anyone would like to comment or would like any further information then please do not hesitate to contact us.
