It was a mixed bag in terms of results for our local football sides yesterday, with Hereford Pegasus recording a fantastic win, Lads Club winning away from home and Hereford FC and Westfields both losing.

Hereford Pegasus kept themselves in the hunt for promotion with a fantastic 7-0 thrashing of fellow promotion chasers Clanfield 85 at the KGD Stadium. Goals from Matt James, Kyle Panniers (3), Carlos Moreira, Cawley Cox and Saul Thomas secured a thumping victory for Pegasus.

Elsewhere, Hereford Lads Club remain in 12th place after a 4-3 victory away at Shrivenham. Goals from Will Loughman, Sam Pearson and Adam Newbury (2) secured victory for the visitors, with new signing Brandon Jennings putting in a man of the match appearance.

Westfields were beaten 2-0 away at Brimscombe and Thrupp, with a lack of composure in front of goal costing fields.

Hereford FC were dealt a huge blow in their chase for a play off spot after being beaten 1-0 at Edgar Street by Southport. Manager Josh Gowling was disappointed with the result, which means the Bulls have now lost two games on the bounce.
