Hereford FC are looking for volunteers to cover the Edgar Street pitch this afternoon, with a frost expected across Herefordshire tonight.

Temperatures are forecast to fall to as low as -5c and Hereford FC really can’t afford for another fixture to be postponed, with local derbies against Gloucester City and Kidderminster Harriers postponed over the Christmas period causing a significant financial strain on the club.

The Bulls are set to host Gateshead in what will be their first home match since 11th December.

A post on the Hereford FC Twitter account this morning said:

“We’re looking for volunteers to help cover the pitch at 1pm this afternoon to help ensure tomorrow’s game goes ahead.

“If you can help, please report to Addison’s Reception at 1pm.

“We also need help removing covers at 8am Saturday.”
