From Gloucestershire Police:

A teenage boy died after falling from a building in Stroud yesterday (Friday).

Police were called to the disused Tricorn House in Westward Road shortly after 5.50pm with a report a boy had been discovered at the rear of the building.

Emergency services attended and the 15-year-old was found to have suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained and at this time there is no evidence to suggest anyone else was involved.

The boy’s family is being supported by officers and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Smith said: “This was a truly traumatic incident and our thoughts are with the boy’s family and friends at this extremely upsetting time.

“There were a number of people at the scene yesterday and what has happened will undoubtedly have a huge impact on the local community and beyond and our thoughts remain with everyone affected by this.”
