OPINION | There was a great atmosphere at The Spread Eagle

We received a lovely message from Dave Ross this morning.

“So yesterday was the first day that our pubs opened back up.

I decided with a few friends to have a look about and see how things have changed and to also have to social drink together.

I booked a table for us at The Spread Eagle for 1pm.

We arrived early to which we thought we may have to wait but were approached and welcomed in a great manner.

We were taken to our table and staff explained the safety measures put in place and also told that there was a copy of the new rules on our table for us to read.

Every single member of staff was waring a face mask and gloves.

Every time people left a deep clean of the table was completed.

Every time that I went to use the toilet facilities you could tell by the fresh smell of cleaning chemicals that attention and care was a top priority in this area also.

People were kindly reminded about the social distancing rule if it was needed.

The food which I witnessed being served also looked great and next time I come I will be ordering some for sure.

There was a great atmosphere with many many staff which you can tell had been properly trained with the new safety measures.

I would personally like to thank the management and their team for an enjoyable, safe and clean experience within their pub. You can really see the effort that has been made.”
