Latest data released by NHS England has indicated that there has been an increase in the number of patients with COVID-19 at hospital in Herefordshire (Wye Valley NHS Trust).

Data shows that as of 12th October (Tuesday), a total of 23 patients had COVID-19 at hospital in Herefordshire. This is up by three on the previous week when 20 patients had COVID-19 at hospital in the county. There is some good news though, with data showing that on the 12th October, no patients were requiring mechanical ventilation. This is a decrease on the previous week when two patients required mechanical ventilation.

Overall in the UK, hospitalisations are starting to rise again. On 10th October, 719 patients were admitted to hospital in the UK with COVID-19. In the seven day period ending 10th October, a total of 5,423 patients were admitted to hospital in the UK with COVID-19, an increase of 5.8% on the previous week.
